"Without a doubt the absolute best experience possible. I was referred by a friend, thank God I was. From the very 1st phone call, Asly was tremendous, got my son in right away. My son for various reasons had rotted teeth. After spending a fortune on bridges, extractions, etc.. no other dentist leveled with me that he Had week teeth that would continue to get worse. He was in such severe pain for so long. Infections, absesses. Rot. I decided the most economical and permanent solution that I could afford was total extraction and dentures. I took him for quotes, typical xray,Nonpersonal attention, just another mouth.Took him to Seda $4000 less. And the caring office manager, Fernanda worked with me for over an hour, applying for financing. She finally set me up with a payment plan orI would have been unable to help my son. After explaining my situation they didn't even charge for his consultation. His dentist Dr. Hanna Butenko was beyond fantastic. All other quotes were pull all teeth at once. Stick In the permanent denture, with putty, then 6 months later come back to see how his jaw adjusted and re-putty, and all money immediately. Wow, Dr. Hanna, saw the horrible mess in my sons mouth. Set up 3 separate appts. One week apart, she saidIt would be way too painful to do all at onceAnd because of the extent of damage some Would be very difficult extractions. And may I say what a knowledgable caring lady. Well three weeks later, I'm sitting at lunch,Final teeth coming out as I write this. And he will be leaving today with his tempatoryDentures, he would not go out because of his teeth. Cant wait to see him really smile again.Three months from now he goes back, they see how his jaws have adjusted AND make him his permanent set! The reason this is so long and detailed is because, I know due to todays culture and poor choices, many young men have rotted hurting teeth, and think there's no answer. Seda also offers all the other options, butDont give up, our choice worked for us, and was affordable. Fernanda & Asly are like family, make my 29 year old son & I feel welcome and special. They know us by name and they should be proud of there courteous. Fun yet professionall manner. Lastly, I cannot Say enough about Dr. Butenko. She comes out of the back to personally see me each visitNot to mention, you will never see 3 more Pretty, really caring and a joy to see each timeYoung wmen. They treat you like family!!!And I havent even met Dr. Hill yet, who my friend said was exceptional. Ther is no other place I will ever go. My other son is next!!!They get 5 out of 5. Not a fair scale, really10 out of 5 stars."- G.K. / Google / Jun 20, 2019
Crowns may be beneficial for several different reasons. They may be placed to cover a weak, decaying tooth to prevent it from chipping or it may hold together a cracked tooth. Dental crowns may also fix a loose or worn-down tooth. They may be used to strengthen a tooth with a lot of decay that will not hold a tooth-colored filling, serve as part of a dental bridge, or mask discolored or misshapen teeth. Crowns may be glued over your tooth or connected by an implant. The crown's material is selected with consideration to where it is being placed. Porcelain fused to metal (PFM) or metal is typically stronger, which makes them better suited for the less visible teeth in the back. Ceramic or porcelain crowns are better for the visible teeth and customized to match the size, shape, and color of your teeth. At your consultation, our team will discuss your choices and help you choose the best dental crown for your needs.
What To Expect
During your consultation, our dental team will take dental impressions so your crown can be made to fit your tooth. In some cases, a temporary dental crown may be used to cover your tooth as your permanent crown is being crafted. As soon as your dental crown is made, the treatment area will be given a local numbing anesthetic. More sedation techniques may be used if you have dental anxieties or fears. When the anesthesia has taken effect, our team will prep your tooth by cleaning away debris and decay, then lightly file the enamel to create space for your dental crown. Your dental crown can be either glued to your tooth or connected to an implant. Once set, we can adjust the crown's fit so it is comfortable.
Unless sedation was used, you will be able to leave our office once the procedure is done and get back to your day. A member of our team will discuss how to care for your crown, including any foods that should be avoided and ideal cleaning techniques. During your annual exams at SEDA Dental of Pompano Beach, our dental team will evaluate your dental crown and adjust it to keep it comfortable. We will determine when your crown should be replaced; however, with good care, it may last for several years. If you have any issues with your crown (if it falls out or is loose), call our office right away. Don't try to repair it or reattach it because this may cause an infection or bad fit.
Based on your dental insurance, part of your costs may be paid. Once we talk to your insurance, we will be able to better calculate your personal costs. At your consult, we will help you choose the best crown material that suits your needs and budget. We can also discuss payment methods along with financing to help make your procedure affordable.
